The Australian Nursing Federation (ANF) with the support of the ACTU and Union Aid Abroad APHEDA has launched a solidarity campaign to highlight ongoing human rights violations against nurses and other health workers in Bahrain.
As a consequence of the mass pro-democracy protests in Bahrain during February 2011, more than 90 nurses and medical staff were targeted and in some cases tortured and imprisoned for caring for injured protestors at that time.
