A BUDERIM man is enjoying the gift of freedom after 15 years of sight loss left him trapped in his own home.
Ricky Cox, who lost his vision to diabetic retinopathy, said he was unable to fully live his life until he was matched with his guide dog Stark 18 months ago.
Mr Cox said his four-legged best friend gave him the opportunity to reclaim his independence.
