A well-established infection control liaison program that trains and uses registered nurses in an aged care facility within Southern Health, Melbourne has been re-invigorated.
Kingston Centre, a 315 bed facility specialising in rehabilitation and the restoration of function, supported by research and education programs, is currently undergoing redevelopment to include community care rehabilitation and hydrotherapy treatment. The Centre provides a wide range of specialist health care assessment and support services for older people, many of whom have complex needs.
