Victorian nurse Leonie Simmons has clocked up 20 overseas trips as a volunteer for not for profit organisation Interplast.
Her milestone coincides with Interplast's celebration of 30 years sending volunteer surgical teams of plastic and reconstructive surgeons, anaesthetists, nurses and allied health professionals to 25 countries. Interplast works to improve the quality of life for people who are disabled as a result of congenital or acquired medical conditions such as cleft lip and palate, burn scar contractures, growths, tumours and other reconstructive surgery conditions.
