Around 300 people rallied against a new graduate nurse program that will displace 1,000 experienced nurses and midwives to make way for new graduates on 80% of the agreed rate of pay, in Ireland last month.
The program will see newly qualified nurses/midwives replace nurses/midwives currently employed through agencies, while providing no specific additional education to the graduates.
