A new referral protocol introduced at Fremantle Hospital is aimed to ensure patients with a potential gastrointestinal cancer diagnosis are fully supported throughout their diagnosis and treatment journey.
Created by endoscopy nurse Sarah Day, along with cancer nurse coordinators Carol Cameron and Jan Stiberc, the protocol aims to streamline cancer services and provide easy access to a multidisciplinary treatment pathway.
