Do we really want to elect as our prime minister a man who, as shadow foreign minister, visited a lap-dancing joint while in New York on an official trip funded by the Australian taxpayer? A man who then proceeded to behave in such a way as to shock the sleazy establishment into throwing him out on his ear? Our "spin" interviewers on the ABC and other stations asked various politicians, "Well, have you ever visited a strip club?" Of course, many public figures have. The question should have been, "Have you ever been thrown out of a strip club for unbecomingly handling the merchandise?" But no-one asked that question.
