A new alliance of health, social service and public policy organisations, including the ANF, has called on all levels of government to tackle health inequities by addressing social determinants of health.
The Social Determinants of Health Alliance (SDOHA) called for governments last month at Parliament House to ratify the World Health Organization (WHO) 2008 report on social determinants of health.
According to WHO, the social determinants of health are mostly responsible for health inequities in health status seen within and between countries.
