An evaluation of the Mental Health Nurse Incentive Program has received strong endorsement from patients, carers and medical practitioners using the program.
The evaluation conducted by the Healthcare Management Advisors and commissioned by the Department of Health, found patients treated under the Mental Health Nurse Incentive Program (MHNIP) had better levels of care due to continuity of care, greater follow up, timely access to support and increased compliance with treatment plans.
