Is anyone else interested as to why NMBA (Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia) is increasing its (compulsory) membership fees by almost 40%? I would have thought nationalising the Board would have created efficiencies in management costs, not increased them. I am aware of several nurses who have contacted NMBA to ask for a financial breakdown of where all this money is going and they have all been given a gentle brush off with ridiculous platitudes.
