While much of the focus of climate change discussions is on economic and environmental effects, the effects of climate change on human health are still under recognised and under reported. Fiona Armstrong, convenor of the Climate and Health Alliance (CAHA), attended the December 2011 United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) 17th Conference of the Parties (COP) in Durban, South Africa, with the intention of putting health prominently on the climate change agenda.
